Craft Beer Boom On Dallas Lower Greenville Avenue

"Call it development, call it gentrification, but Lower Greenville is settling into its revamped nightlife niche slowly but steadily." Here are a few places that offer atmosphere, tasty-menu selections and craft beer.

The brand new Lower Greenville spot from Goodfriend owners Matt Tobin and Josh Yingling  is all about "craft cocktails, craft beers and craft meat," but that doesn't mean The Blind Butcher refuses to cater to patrons with slightly more, ahem, low-brow tastes in beer.

Listed on the Butcher's drinks menu right alongside all the crafty stuff — including many locals like Lakewood Temptress and Peticolas Velvet Hammer — you'll also find a category called, aptly, "Horseshit Beers."

What exactly do Tobin and Yingling consider "horseshit beers"? Budweiser, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors, Coors Lite, that illustrious "Champagne of beers" Miller High Life, and yes, even good ol' (relatively) local boy Shiner.
