The Joule Hotel is a five-star, 129-room boutique hotel developed by Headington Hotels. Located at 1530 Main Street, between Akard Street and Ervay Street, the building was constructed in 1927.  This year the hotel has undergone a structural revamp and been rejuvenated its interior by world renowned designer, Adam Tihan.

One of the “jewels” of this hotel is its 10th floor pool that ascends eight feet over the easement below. The architect of the project was ARCHITEXAS (Architecture, Planning and Historic Preservation, Inc.) in Dallas.

The $78 million renovation and expansion has brought some new additions to this swanky spot.   Whether dining at the downtown hotel’s CBD Provisions restaurant or quenching your thirst at the Lobby bar—you will feel like a guest even if you are just visiting!  In addition to Weekend Coffee bar featuring fresh bean selections from Seattle-based Victrola roasters there is also boutique TENOVERSIX and a library by TASCHEN.

Freshly renovated and filled with original artworks that are a source of enjoyment to the art enthusiasts and the casual admirer. “One of the latest acquisitions is a major bronze work resembling an enormous chambered nautilus by the celebrated British artist Tony Cragg. The work was recently included in a one person exhibition devoted to Mr. Cragg at The Nasher Sculpture Center. The sculpture will be prominently installed in the Joule lobby.  A significant work by the Havana, Cuba based collective Los Carpinteros will be a fresh addition to the collection as well. The group’s elegant and humorous sculptures, drawings, and installations draw their inspiration from the physical world. Their works are included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York and The Guggenheim to name a few.”
