It’s hard to believe that CLAYSTAPP+CO began operating only nine months ago. When we opened our doors this past April, it was only my wife Lisa, Andrea, our office manager Sarah, and I working out of an 800 sq. foot office in State Thomas. How things have changed…
Now our company has already doubled in size! We’ve been fortunate to have Renae Goines, Ashley Moss, Jamie Allen Brown, and Chad Meadors join our team. They’re all rock stars and we are proud they chose CLAYSTAPP+CO as their brokerage. Such growth prompted us to move to the 1,800 sq. foot corner retail space at 1933 Cedar Springs. We are still working on the final touches but the office has a large, open communal workspace surrounded by floor to ceiling windows, a kitchen, and an entertainment/conference room. We’re filling it up fast; I’m scrambling to find space for a ping pong table.
Our company has grown considerably and I know this will continue with several more agents poised to join our ranks soon. It’s exciting to be part of an organization that’s bigger than myself. It’s exciting to work with agents and help bring success to them as they bring success to the company. More importantly, it’s exciting to bring great real estate service to our clients and help them find a little piece of happiness and security with their homes. I’m glad to say that’s one aspect that hasn’t changed over the past nine months.
Rumor on the street is that CLAY STAPP+CO has found a new place to call home. The new location at 1933 Cedar Springs is nestled nicely between Uptown/Downtown/Victory Park. The former art gallery of Christopher Martin, this open atmosphere retail space is perfect for agents and their clients. “We have been patiently waiting for the right space to come along that fits our company’s culture”, says Owner/Broker, Clay Stapp. “Christopher Martin called asking us to list this spectacular property and as soon as I was off the phone I told my wife that we had found our new home.” The office at 1933 Cedar Springs will look more like a coffee house than a typical Realtors office with communal work areas, coffee bar, and lounge. “We anticipate that 30 agents will be able to easily work out of this office. Agents work on a much more flex schedule these days and we have hired designer Chris Muder to design not only a great place to work but also an environment that is a lot of fun!”

The world’s most expensive home is complete. The $1 billion (£630 million), 27 story tower block in Mumbai is the home of Mukesh Ambani (the richest man in India, 4th richest man in the world) and his wife and their 3 children. It is difficult to know what to call it. It is far too big and grand to call it a house. The fact that it has more floor space than the Palace of Versailles and employess over 600 staff would ordinarily make it a castle or mansion; but can you call a sky scraper a mansion?![]()
